Socially responsible "Bright Futures" Winners Announced

Good financial results. Innovative solutions. Conscious development planning - these are the advantages of the winners of the contest "Bright Futures" organised by the Pomeranian Chamber of Craft of SMEs, partner of the RespEn project. The contest gala, augmented by the Capelli Gedanesis concert, was held on 22 October 2011 in Gdańsk.

obrazekDuring the gala, awards were presented to companies which competed for the title of socially responsible company. Winners in the following categories were also announced: micro, small, medium and large enterprise.

- Thanks to such companies, Pomerania is developing robustly. Private companies are the pillar supporting the region's economy and it is worth appreciating them - said Michał Owczarczak, Deputy Governor of Pomerania.

Aiton Caldwell SA won in the category "Socially Responsible Company". Aiton Caldwell SA is a leader in the Polish market of hosted telecommunications services for SMEs. Distinctions were awarded to 3Wings Sp. z o.o - this company offers a wide range of services connected with energy trading and its flexible sales. Lufthansa Systems Poland won in the category "Large Companies".

Aiton Caldwell SA implements CSR activities in two areas - social involvement and workplace practices.

Its goal is to support the development of the local community, therefore the company actively cooperates with organisations promoting entrepreneurship and regional universities. The company invites young and talented students to participate in innovative projects. Thanks to such cooperation, students have the opportunity to cooperate already during studies, as well as acquaint themselves with new technologies and current trends on the IT market.

The company also caters for regular improvement of working conditions. In January last year, Aiton Caldwell conducted a Corporate Culture study. Results of the surveys completed by employees showed how the company is perceived by the persons it hires - what they value, and what they feel is missing. As a result, working groups whose goal was to propose changes in the indicated areas were formed.

The award in the category "Micro Company" went to Financial Experts Sp. z o.o., which renders services in the area of business advisory, strategic management and investment planning. Datera SA was the winner in the „Small Company" category. Datera SA specialises in developing ICTsolutions. The jury of the contest decided to award the Best Medium Enterprise Prize to Przedsiębiorstwo Robót Melioracyjnych i Ochrony Środowiska Ekomel Sp. z o.o., which specialises in construction works, among others, in the scope of environment protection, water supply systems and sports facilities. Lufthansa Systems Poland Sp. z o.o. was announced "Best Large Company". The company provides IT systems for carriers such as British Airways or Singapore Airlines.

KMJ Kaszubowscy s.j. was recognised as the best automotive company. Distinctions were awarded to the following companies: PPHU Poleszak Zdzisław Poleszak, Janisz Usługi Samochodowe - Krzysztof Janisz, Auto Pomagier Tomasz Darna and Auto Moto Handel Leszek Słabek.

During the events, participants were encouraged to support the Priest Eugeniusz Dutkiewicz Hospice SAC in Gdańsk.
